[fair or fairer]

Some were born into splendour, hailed and adored before they knew the meaning of the affections lavished upon them. Their names were carefully and lovingly chosen, published in thick, black ink in every country's local paper. The world acknowledges their birth- their life is paved for them.

Some were born where stars watch quietly. Their names may never appear in ink; their stories never told. They may slip off soundlessly, the soil is mute to their journey. Sometimes it is their sleep that is peaceful; life was nothing but toil for them. Sometimes it is their sleep that is grieved by a few quiet friends and no one else. And worst of all, sometimes, no one grieves.

Is that fair?

'For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government will be on His shoulders. And His name will be called Wonderful, Councelor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace.' Isaiah 9:6

He came that night as the earth trembled in anticipation, and the rocks could barely keep from crying out loud. All heaven stirred, all glory made known to nature by nature. The stars watched him; yet no man knew who he was that night... no man knew the magnitude of his existance as fully divine and fully human in that time. The world did not hail him; they were too blind.

Is that fair?

He grew- a man holy and sinless. His sole purpose was redemption by blood, a sacrifice that saved by grace through faith. There is no greater love, than a man would give his life for a friend. We have no right to call ourselves friends. But that is what He has called us. On that day the sky grew dark.. my heart should have been so heavy. I knew He was thinking of me.. I knew he was purchasing me, his own creation.

Is that fair?

Life is never fair. And usually, it's unfair in my favor. Any more fair, and I could have been made for no more an excuse but a hobby.

[Redeemed]
