The party's over

Back to real life on monday. For now, we live in a strange lull between the surreal world of fantasy (villas in phuket and all that) and the mundane work life to come.

It really is a nice place to be. I've cooked 3 dishes for our work week to come and planned several more for the weeks to come. Mum and I are planning a grand menu for Christmas luncheon and I will go to her house tomorrow to make ba zhang.

Feels nice to have my own house, but surprisingly, not that different to normal. Dennis is outside playing his drums like a crazy drum boy, and later tonight we might go shopping. It helps that the shops now open till later. It may help my temporary homesickness, but what I really miss are the friends.

p.s. some people are inconsiderate and don't understand homesickness. Maybe I have forgotten what they were like and maybe that's why I don't hang out with them much anymore.
